Abstract
Objective To discuss types、constituent ratios、correlative factors、prenatal diagnosis and preventive measures of birth defects, to understand problems existing in monitoring system on birth defects and to comprehend the coming improvement mesurements. Methods Count up quarterly reports of Perinatal and registration forms of birth defects in jingzhou city in 2011,and repair the leakage of birth defects situation each quarter. Results There are 205 case reports of birth defects in jingzhou in 2011,the top five are sepapolydactyly,harelip,congenital clubfo ot,cheilopalatognathus,congenital heart disease. Conclusion The key of the prevention of birth defects is tertiary prevention,including to enhance the capacity of maternal and child health care personnel,improve the level of diagnosis of birth defects,reduce missed diagnosis rate of birth defects,also to improve the report quality of birth defects,and to repair the leakage of birth defects situation each quarter to reduce the rate of missing report.
