Abstract
Objective To investigate the change of the level of serum uric acid and its relationship with cognitive dysfunction in patients with female Parkinson's disease(PD). Method The levels of serum uric acid was measured in 53 female PD patients and 53 healthy aged and female people(normal control group). Female PD patients were measured by Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA)scale. Results The level of serum uric acid in female PD group was significantly lower than that in normal control group(P 0. 01),It had no significant difference between different Hoehn- Yahr stage period of female PD group(P 0. 05),and the level of serum uric acid in female PD patients with cognitive dysfunction was significantly lower than that in female PD patients without cognitive dysfunction(P 0. 01). Conclusion The level of serum uric acid in female PD patient is closely related to cognitive function in female PD patient,The lower the level of serum uric acid,the gigher the risk of cognitive dysfunction.
