Abstract
Linear compressors may enhance the efficiencies of the refrigerator and Stirling cryocooler. The novel moving-magnet linear compressor is simple, high-efficient and sensorless with a single-phase 50 Hz power supply. The silicon-steel plate stacking manner is simple. Magnetic circuit method and finite element method were introduced to model the linear motor and explain the working principle. The analysis results are in accordance with the test results and prove the configuration practicable and feasible
