Abstract
You will have received your copy of the Program and Registration Guide with this issue. The Guide outlines all the information you need to make your plans — the 3-day scientific program; the social program, including tours, golf, and class reunions; and a registration form. Because Halifax and Nova Scotia offer superb vacationing opportunities, plan to bring the whole family and build a vacation around the dates! In order to enhance your learning experience, 2 diverse plenary sessions have been planned. The first is “An Appointment with Dr. Dave Dee-Vee-Emm,” a portrayal of the lighter side of life as a veterinarian. Your funny bone will definitely be tweaked! Spouses and children are welcome at this session. Plenary II is entitled “The Human-Animal-Veterinarian Bond” and will be of intense interest to all veterinarians. It is aimed at increasing your business and making your practice more profitable. Information on how to make your business grow, how to eliminate obstacles to success, and how to avoid common pitfalls will be discussed. The topic will be explored in 3 areas: “State of the Art/Future Implications of the Human-Animal-Veterinarian Bond on the Veterinary Profession” with Dr. Bernhard Pukay, “The Flip Side of the Bond” with Dr. Frank Richardson, and “The Impact of the Bond on Future Veterinary Practice” with Dr. James Nave.
