At present immersion bilingual teaching is widely practiced in our country, but blind copy and misunderstanding still exists. Immersion program does not exclude native language, but opposes language combination and advocates the separation of languages. In monolingual teaching period, teachers use natural, authentic, fluent, and foreseeable classroom language to teach subject knowledge, which helps the students master the subject content and improve the level of language at the same time. This thesis starts from the characteristics of bilingual immersion programs in Canada, reveals the subject-first principle, comprehensible input of second language and language separation fields, and explores suitable and applicable immersion bilingual teaching model for China's national conditions.
