Abstract

In this paper,some fingerprint matching algorithms are researched deeply.A new fingerprint matching algorithm based on sector-sampling is proposed.The algorithm takes fingerprint image reference point as center point and divides the interested region into many sectors.The number of minutiae in sector is counted to construct new fingerprint feature vectors.Then we use the minimum distance criteria for fingerprint matching.The experiment results demonstrate that the new method can enhance matching effects and running speed of fingerprint processing.
