The Ministry of Education of British Columbia (Canada) has established the Ministry district re- view of 20 school districts which have accountability contract.This article is based on the analysis of the District Review Report of School District No.5.which given by the superintendent and chair of the district review team fol- lowing general introduction of school inspection in Canada and the background of the district review.The author intends to examine the Ministry district review through case-study,and identifies its characteristics,functions, and to offer some enlightenment toward the school inspection practices of our country.
