Abstract
The cultural relationship between Canadian whites and aboriginals is not only an important aspect of Canadian post-coloniality,but also an important theme for Canadian multiculturalism and Canadian literature. As one of the intellectual elite and a cultural spokesman,Margaret Atwood assumes a hegemonic stance towards the Canadian aboriginal culture,demonizes the culture,and appropriates its heritage,thus betraying his nationalist limitations. All this demonstrates that the colonial discourse remains strong in Canada,and Canadian multiculturalism still has a long and hard way to go.
