Effects of PEG Pretreatment on Salt Resistance of Several Tree Species during Germination Stage

Abstract
Effects of PEG pretreatment on salt resistance of Robinia pseudoacacia and Ailanthus altissima and Fraxinus velutin seeds were systematically studied in this paper.After pretreated with different PEG6000(0%,10%,20%)concertration solutions for 24h,the seeds germinated respectively under different NaCl concertration stress.The results indicated that effects of the different PEG pretreatment for three kinds of tree seeds germination under salt stress were all alleviated.The best treatment was 10% PEG pretreatment in seed germination rate,germination capacity,germination index and seed vigor index,so it was the best treatment for resist salt stress on three kinds of tree seeds germination.
