Abstract
This paper,based on a case study on Ontario,analyzes its management system of non-radioactive tailings in administration,responsibilities,laws,regulations,permits and industrial guidelines,and summarizes Canada's management features,aiming at providing reference for China to manage tailings.Canada's sound tailings management is embodied by appropriate decentralization,laws and regulations,industrial guidelines,marketing and enterprises' cooperation.China shall optimize tailings management system from clarifying rights and responsibilities,improving managing level and boosting enterprises' awareness of tailings management.
