In order to explore allelopathy of maize roots' water extraction on Scutellaria and build effective food medicine intercropping patterns by bioassay method and finally to improve the output of Scutellaria.With Scutellaria from Shangluo,Lantian,Gansu and Shandong as experimental materials under different concentration of maize roots' water extraction (0.05,0.1,0.15g/ml).The results showed that all the four aboved-mentioned maize roots' water extraction improved Scutellaria seed germination except 0.05g/ml,and the sequence of allelopthy from strong to weak as follow:Lantian,Gansu,Shangluo.High concentration of maize roots' water extraction could inhibit Scutellaria seed germination,and inhibition became strong with concentration increasing.
