Abstract
Remote Watching is becoming an important direction in the automation of Electric Power System today. But nowadays the Remote Watching in unattended substation is generally based on local computer. This paper presents a new method of Remote Watching. It introduces the Remote Watching based on SOC/IP and presents the case of the application to SOC 250. Many function such as the MPEG 2 moving picture compress and network transmission are realized in SOC/IP. The single chip Remote Watching is designed.
