Abstract
Effects of DMSO and Tween-80 on cell suspension cultures of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi were investigated by plant cell suspension technology.It was shown that DMSO at 0.5%,1%,5%(v/v)had no facilitation on the growth of suspension cells of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi.Tween-80 at 0.5% or 1%(v/v)when added at 12d had positive effects on the growth of suspension cells of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi.Both DMSO at 5%(v/v)and Tween-80 at 5%(v/v)had negative effects on the accumulation of baicalin in suspension cells but positive effects on the outside release of baicalin in the cell suspension cultures of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi.
