Abstract
Objective To study the correlation between stature(height) and finger length of Sichuan Yi people.Methods 208(male 151 and female 57) healthy adults aged 20-30 years were sampled,and the lengths of the five fingers and the distal phalanxes in the left hand and the true statures were measured.Results Each figure-related parameter was significantly correlated to the stature in the male,and the coefficient of correlation(0.372) was the largest between lengths of the middle finger and the stature.In the female,only lengths of the index finger,middle finger,ring finger,little finger and the distal phalanx of index finger were significantly correlated to the stature,and the coefficient of correlation(0.454) was the largest between lengths of the distal phalanx of index finger and the stature.
