Abstract
Distributed video retrieval is an important information retrieval technology under the current environment of network,and this method can improve the performance of traditional video retrieval system.After analysing the development of existed video retrieval systems,and based on existing P2P(Peer-to-Peer)distributed platform FreePastry,the method of distributed video retrieval using the scalability,load balance and stability of P2P network has been researched.Inverted index technology and fuzzy querying technology have been used to improve the video retrieval efficiency.The experimental results show that the system achieved good result in the scalability,recall and precision performance.
