Abstract
Many international researches had been done about the effects of free fatty acids on cells these years,and the possible mechanisms are mentioned.Recent results had shown that the effects with different kind and structure of FFAs had diversities on different types of cells,and even in the same cell type.For examples the most of the saturated fatty acids can induces pancreatic beta-cell,MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells,endothelial cells and neuronal cell death via apoptosis,but the unsaturated fatty acids have light effect.With the development of cancer research,it becomes a hot issue about the cell apoptosis.Because of the mechanisms of apoptosis are not clearly,there are many research aspects about it.This review is mainly about the apoptosis induced by free fatty acids and its possible mechanism.
