The west surveying almost were introduced to China and Japan at the same time,from the beginning of 17 century to the beginning of 18 century. We can see China and Japan's different characteristics of introducing the contents of west surveying through analysising and researching two countries's surveying's literature in the same period.We may probe into that arosing these different characteristicses's social causation and look into science technique's the prelude of the different results in development of china and Japan in modern age according to these characteristicses.
