Abstract
The principle, function and application of a typical virtual endoscopy system are introduced in this paper. The advantage is: (1) developing depending on ourselves' research and technical accumulation, (2) based on cheap and popular PC and Miscrosoft Windows and easy to extend, (3) based on the generally used OpenGL graphic platform and capable of using graphic card to accelerate rendering, (4) wide application: capable of being used for endoscopy in various cavum, disease diagnoses and computer aided teaching.
