Abstract
According to the shortcoming that Intel8279 LED displaying circuit needs more I/O ports of single-chip microproces- sors,this paper presented a method to use MAX7219 to accomplish the mix displaying circuit of LED 16 segments and 8 seg- ments.Some application programs were also shown.Since only three I/O ports are needed in this system,the expenses of hard- ware are greatly saved in this method.
