Abstract
The District Planning of main function promotes migration and population redistribution.The paper analyzes population changes and the spatial distribution characteristics in Gansu Province.And calculates the optimum population capacity in key development region’s by using P-E-R model.Further puts forward the re-distribution pattern of population.The results show that Jinchuan,Jiayuguan and Lanzhou’s Population carrying capacity are stronger.But Yongdeng,Yuzhong and another seven counties’ optimum population capacity are weaker.Finally proposes four major patterns of population redistribution which are oasis towns,Lanzhou metropolitan area,Tianshui-Longnan and Longdong densely populated areas.
