Abstract
By taking a residential quarter in Jiangsu province which is hot in summer and cold in winter as an example,the micro-climatic factors of the residential district such as air temperature,relative humidity,wind direction,wind speed?etc.were measured in fixed positions.The effects of landscape design elements(underlying surface,green-land,waterscape design etc.) on outdoor microclimate of residential quarter were investigated.How to improve the residential quarter micro-climate by varying the corresponding microclimate factors was studied,and according to the micro-climate optimization effect of the residential quarter,the rationality of the landscape design of the residential quarter was evaluated and analyzed.
