Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

With the 70 F1 reciprocal crossing combinations made from widely applied dual-purpose sterile lines such as Zhu 1 S,ZhunS,Peiai 64 S,7001 S and 10 ordianary rice varieties like R 1,R 11,R 16,R 32,Chenghui 210,Xianhui 207,Yan 111 R,R 968,Shuhui 527 as experimental materials, comparing the different agronomic traits of the reciprocal crossing combinations cultivated under the same conditions, this experiment attempts to study the regulations of cytoplasm effects on heterosis so as to provide a more comprehensive oretical understanding on taking full advantage of two-line hybrid rice and cultivating combinations with high yield and fine quality.(1) With the reciprocal crossing combinations made from Zhu 1 S,Lu 18 S which have the same cytoplasm×R 16,Yan 111 R,R 968,9311 and Guangluai-4.as experimental material, the experiment conducts a significant analysis on the their agronomic traits and the production advantage and the result shows that there are significant differences in tiller number, effective panicle, spike length, shoot dry weight, effective grain number, and total grain weight per plant between the reciprocal crossing combinations made by Zhu 1 S and Lu 18 S.This indicates that the significantly different traits between reciprocal crossing combinations are the results of cytoplasm effects. There are also significant differences existing in plant height, grain number,1 000-grain weight and tiller number. But the regulations are different between the combinations made by Zhu 1 S and Lu 18 S,which means that these four traits may have relationship with nucleo-cytoplasmic interaction.(2) The seed setting rates of inter subspecific hybrid combinations under different cytoplasm background are not high, and the seed setting rates are also low, which means that the incompatibility of inter subspecific hybrid are not changed in these combinations. This suggests that the incompatibility of inter subspecific hybrid are controlled not by cytoplasm, but nuclear gene.(3) A comparison of the biological yield of the reciprocal crossing combinations made from sterile lines of Zhu 1 S、Peiai 64 S、7001 S and ZhunS illustrates that the quantity of positive cross combinations made by Zhu 1 S is the highest with the rate reaching as high as 64.3%.This indicates that the cytoplasm of Zhu 1 S has wide combination ability. The combination numbers of the other positive cross combinations are lower than 50% and are respectively 37.5% and 36.4% in that of 7001 S and ZhunS.So we can infer that the cytoplasm of 7001 S and ZhunS may have the character of specific combining ability.(4)The plant height, shoot dry weight and total grain weight per plant of combinations which take R 16 as female parent are significantly lower, which indicates that the cytoplasm of R 16 blocks the function of heterotic advantage and has negative cytoplasm effect.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
