Clinical study of vascular cognitive impairment-no dementia treated by combined therapy of ginkgo biloba tablet and nimodipine

Abstract
Objective To discuss the clinical efficacy of ginkgo biloba tablet and nimodipine in treatment of vascular cognitive impairment non-dementia(VCIND) patients. Methods A total of 120 VCIND patients were randomly divided into treatment group(n=60) and control group(n=60). Patients in control group were treatment of nimodipine, while those in treatment group were treated with of ginkgo biloba tablet. The course of treatment was 8 weeks. Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA)and Transcranial Doppler(TCD) were used to observe the changes of congnitive function and the average blood flow velocity among VCIND patients. The level of Hcy was measured before and after therapy in all patients. Results Compared with before treatment, MoCA Score and Vm in two groups were higher after treatment. The level of Hcy was obviously decreased after treatment in two groups. There were significant differences in two groups(P0.05). Conclusion Ginkgo biloba tablet combined with nimodipine for VCIND possessed has synergistic action. And the pharmacology needs further study.
