Abstract
Seed yield per plant was investigated with 57 popularized inbred lines under drought conditions that water content of soil was regulated to a little more than wilting coefficient with a plastic canopy to prevent rainfall and drought tolerance coefficient was calculated based on the difference with normally irrigated contrast. The result indicated that 81565 was drought tolerant and second rate drought tolerance was found with N87 1, R09, 9635, 9651, Nan21 3, TF1 and 5003. Under the same conditions, 9 development characters and their drought tolerance coefficients of 12 inbred lines with different drought tolerance were investigated and calculated and multiple liner regression analysis was made with drought tolerance coefficient of per plant kernel yield. Partial regression coefficients of anthering and silking interval, ear leaf area, root weight and per 100 seed weight to seed yield per plant were greatly significant and the optimum regression equation was established to estimate drought tolerance of seed yield with related drought tolerance coefficients.
