Estamos con Olmedo Alvarado, artista pionero del arte contemporáneo en la ciudad de Cuenca, en Ecuador. Es una persona afable que nos recibe en su despacho de la Universidad de Cuenca, donde es profesor en la Facultad de Artes. Olmedo Alvarado es uno de los creadores más respetados de Ecuador. Se formó en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Cuenca y en el Instituto Nacional de Restauración de Madrid, obteniendo además un M.A. por la Universidad de Cuenca. Si revisamos su extenso currículum descubrimos exposiciones y proyectos artísticos realizados ya desde la década de los 80 del siglo pasado, en localizaciones tan diversas como Bostón, Nueva York, Santiago de Chile, Panamá, La Paz, Winnipeg y Buenos Aires
