This paper provides a comprehensive review of Canadian cultural policies——Anglo assimilation theory and Multiculturalism,analyzing the progressive process of Chinese immigrant women's cultural identity reconstruction during the long history of immigrating to Canada.Meanwhile,this paper also discusses the possible choices of those Chinese immigrant women from three levels of reconstruction: almost zero,partial or nearly thorough.This paper,furthermore,leaves some interrelated strategies on the Chinese women in the case of successful approach of reconstructing their cultural identity.
