Abstract
OBJECTIVE?To study the effects of the Sorbaria Sorbifolia extract for clearance rate of ethyl acetate, glutaminate-pyruvate transaminase(GPT) and succinate dehydrogenase(SD) in rats.?METHODS?The injury of rat liver was induced by ethyl acetate and carbon tetrachloride. It was detected from serum by colorimetric method in vitro that the clearance rate of ethyl natriumacetate, activity of GPT and SD and the content of liver malondiadehyde in mice.?RESULTS?The Sorbaria Sorbifolia extract increased significantly clearance rate of ethyl acetate in rats in vitro, reduced the content of liver malondiadehyde in mice damaged by carton tetrachloride and the activity of GPT in vivo and increase the activity of SD of liver mitrochondia in rats damaged by carbaon tetrachloride.?CONCLUSION? The Sorbaria Sorbifolia extract has protective effects for ethyl acetate and carton tetrachloride-induced liver damage in rats.
