Establishing and improving food safety recall system have become the new concepts,important means and development tendency of management and supervision food safety in many countries.The main characteristics of legal protection of food recall,division of responsibilities,recall procedures,and information system in the United States,Canada,Australia,New Zealand,European Union and other developed countries and regions were analyzed and summarized.The current situation and existing problems in the legal system,organization structuring,technical support,implementation process and emergency measures of food safety recall in China were studied comparatively.The suggestions and countermeasures for establishing and improving food recall system in China such as perfecting legal system,strengthening the technical support construction,clarifying the management and harmonization organizations,building a complete traceability system,intensifying the education and publicity,perfecting the emergency treatment system were proposed.
