The process of removing vanadium from rough TiCl4 is very important in the production of titanium sponge,and one of the technologies which has found wide applications is removing vanadium by copper wires at present.Waste is brought in the process of removing vanadium,and the waste's disposition and recycle are urgent and difficult problems.In this paper,some measures,such as chemical analysis,X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy,etc.have been used to analyze the chemical composition,phase and microcosmic appearance of the waste and some products.Results showed that the main components of the waste are copper and vanadium,and electrolytic copper and vanadium pentoxide would be obtained through the appropriate technology.
