Study on the Optimum Moisture Content of Waxy-wheat Seeds Stored at Ultralow Temperature

Abstract
The seeds of waxy-wheat(Annong 1032)with 5 level of moisture content were used as materials to test the seed vigor indexes and determine the corresponding enzyme activity by cryopreservation in liquid nitrogen.The results showed that: under the 11.88% moisture content,there were no significant difference of some major seed vigor indexes which tested by seedling growth test,cold soaking test,accelerated ageing test,electrical conductivity test,simulated field germination test between the control,as same as the enzyme activity including ADH、POD、CAT、SOD、LOX.In this study,the result indicated that waxy-wheat germplasm could be stored at ultralow temperature and the optimum moisture content was 12%.
