Abstract
Three species of the genus Kristotomus Mason,1962,collected from Liupan Mountains,Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,were reported.One of them,Kristotomus ningxiaensis sp.nov.,is new to science.K.ridibundus(Gravenhorst,1829)and K.triangulatorius(Gravenhorst,1829)are the first records in Ningxia.All specimens are deposited in the General Station of Forest Pest Management,State Forestry Administration,Shenyang,China.Kristotomus ningxiaensis sp.nov.(Figs.1-4)This species is similar to Kristotomus ridibundus(Gravenhorst,1829)but can be distinguished from the latter by its hypostomal carina,at its junction with occipital carina,about 2 times as high as occipital carina;first tergite about 1.6 times as long as its apical width;second tergite without basal oblique impressions;face black,lateral side with a yellow fleck;hind coxa entirely black;basal half of claw with dense pectination(Fig.3);and apical portion of ovipositor weakly arched downward(Fig.4).Holotype ♀,Liupan Mountains,Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,29 Sep.2005,SHENG Mao-Ling and SUN Shu-Ping.Paratypes:8♀♀,3♂♂,Liupan Mountains,Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,25 Aug.to 29 Sept.,2005,SHENG Mao-Ling and SUN Shu-Ping.Etymology.The name of the new species is based on the collected place.Kristotomus ridibundus(Gravenhorst,1829)(Figs.5-6)Tryphon ridibundus Gravenhorst,1829.Ichneumonologia Europaea,2:188.Kristotomus ridibundus:Mason,1962.The Canadian Entomologist,94:1274.Specimens examined.6♀♀,5♂♂,Liupan Mountains,Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,4 Aug.to 22 Sep.2005,SHENG Mao-Ling and SUN Shu-Ping.Kristotomus triangulatorius(Gravenhorst,1829)Tryphon triangulatorius Gravenhorst,1829.Ichneumonologia Europaea,2:205.Kristotomus triangulatorius:Mason,1962.The Canadian Entomologist,94:1274.Specimens examined.2♀♀,1♂,Liupan Mountains,Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,9 to 16 June 2005,SHENG Mao-Ling and SUN Shu-Ping.
