Abstract
An embedded video surveillance system based on V4L2(video for linux two) is designed,which uses S3C2440a as hardware platform,linux system as software platform and Boa as embedded Web server.The software of video capture is designed based on V4L2,which is the API(Application Programming Interface) of video capture device driver.Video data can be translated by TCP/IP protocol.Remote real-time monitoring video can be displayed by browser to users.The experimental result shows that the system has high practical value,and this system can be widely used in many occasions.
