Abstract
Canadian universities are autonomous non-profit corporations established on local laws and regulations. Their corporate governance structure has approximately experienced three stages in the historical vicissitude:the forming stage,the reform and adjustment stage,and the steady improvement stage. The changes of the governance structure at each stage have been the results of related decision-makers' power game. Based on an analysis of the history of the governance structure of Canadian universities,this paper explores the conflicts and the cooperation among the various decision-makers at the power game.
