Abstract
In steelmaking process, some alloys should be added to meet the requir ement of molten composition. The LD converter alloy model using linear programmi ng is available when the contents of elements are distinct. But it is not very e fficient when they are indistinct. The feasibility and validity of using fuzzy l inear programming are described. Many numerical simulations based on the real pr oduction data and industrial computer control system have been done. The results indicate that the fuzzy linear programming can improve the control effect of t he system using linear programming simply.
