Effects of Genotype and Hormones on the Regeneration of Transgenic Potato Plant

Abstract
The factors affecting plant regeneration of transgenic potato,genotype and hormones,were analyzed in this study.The results showed that potato genotypes affected callus and adventitious bud formation.The frequencies of callus of five varieties varied from 72.22% to 95.83% and the most efficient varieties was Russet Burbank;the frequencies of adventitious bud formation was 0-11.54% and the best responded genotype was Favorita.The combination of 6-BA and NAA evidently influenced the formation of Russet Burbank callus and adventitious bud;The induction frequency of callus was highest in the medium with 2.5 mg/L 6-BA and 0.2-0.3 mg/L NAA;The best frequency of adventitious buds formation was obtained in the medium with 2.5 mg/L 6-BA and 0.1 mg/L NAA.The concentration of NAA influenced callus formation from leaf discs with post-effect.
