As the underlying hardware environment of large-scale video surveillance systems more and more complex;Call the manufacturer SDK to encode and decode the system becomes more and more bloated and slow;To solve this problem,propose a design of streaming media server,which is based on the standard streaming media protocols to ensure the universal of streaming forword,using unified interface to shield underlying hardware differences,and can auto-adapt the network congestion;The practical application shows that only a streaming media server can handle video streams from different DVRs forwarding;upper applications without concern about the underlying hardware information,and can get better performance on limited bandwidth.It provides a reference technical solutions for actual large-scale video surveillance system
