Abstract
TRAP(Target Region Amplified Polymorphism) was first used for research of genetic diversity in catfish Silurus asotus.Nine pairs of primers selected from 24 primers produced good amplified patterns with 37.5% of polymorphic primer was in all amplified primers.There were 15 loci amplified by one primer,and 75 polymorphic loci were obtained in all 135 amplified loci with 55.56% of polymorphic loci.The genetic variation analyses showed that TRAP marker can be used in genetic structure research of the catfish.The higher percentage of polymorphic primer number indicated that TRAP as a DNA molecular marker can be used in genetic linkage map research for Silurus asotus.
