Abstract
The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement( CETA) between the EU and Canada is the first free trade agreement after EU got its independent individuality,the investment chapter of it shows the possible trend of international investment regulations in future: the definition model of investment is more comprehensive,the pre-establishment treatment clause is much more common,and the Investor-to-State Dispute Settlement in CETA can protect investor and host country much better,even promote the improvement of the international investment dispute settlement mechanism. The BIT between China and EU is on process,and the analysis of CETA would be helpful to the negotiation.
