Abstract
This paper presents the operating principle anddriving method of Ethernet controller RTL8019AS, and its interface to main processor and Ethernet. Based on RTL8019AS, we can design an embedded system after rightly choosing TCP/IP protocol and embedding it into the high speed AVR singlechip, and apply the system in the irrigation information field. With the system, measurement and controlling equipment are capable of data transmitting through Internet with low power loss and high efficiency. It makes a great improvement on original irrigation information measurement method whichtransfers data using PSTN and MODEM.
