Abstract
The paper selected old and new wheat seeds of Zhou 18 and Bainong AK 58 as the experimental material.First,old and new seed vigor were measured through the non-special processing germination experiment,aging treatment germination experiment and anti-freeze processing germination experiment of wheat.Then,with the method of measuring absorb light,the activities of peroxidase(POD),superoxide dismutase(SOD) and catalase(CAT) of old and new seeds were measured.Results demonstrated that the rate of germination of the new seed of the same kind of wheat under the three conditions was significantly greater than that of the old seeds.Also the new seeds' peroxidase,superoxide dismutase and catalase were more active than the old seeds'.This proved that the new seeds' vigor was greater than that of the old seeds and the seed vigor and activity of peroxidase,superoxide dismutase and catalase were positive correlation.In addition,from the related data of Zhou 18 and AK 58,it could be concluded that the seed's vitality and stability of AK 58 were obviously superior to Zhou 18.
