Comparing the Drought Stress of Different Varieties Triticale at Seed Germination Stage

Abstract
The seeds of 7 triticale cultivars were treated with different concentrations PEG-6000,then examined the germination percentage,germination index,vigor index,length of seedling,coleoptile and root.The results showed that lower PEG concentration had a stimulating effect on the germination.As PEG concentration rose,the inhibitive effects on the seed germinations obviously increased.The different triticale cultivars were inhibited with different degree.The drought tolerance of ZHONGXIN830 was the strongest,the drought resistance ability of ZHONGSI828,ZHONGSI237 were stronger,JISI1,JISI2,NTH1048 and NTH1888 were medium.JINSONG49 was drought-sensitive cultivar in all cultivars.
