Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effects of exercise therapy in knee osteoarthritis.Methods Using a randomized open label trial,200 cases were divided into exercise therapy group,and control group of non steroidal antiinflammatory drugs.The final complete information into the statistical score of 171 cases,29 cases off.90 cases were in SLR group and 81 cases were in NSAID group.In newly diagnosed and 8 weeks later,Japanese Knee Osteoarthritis Measure and Western Ontario and McMaster University Osteoarthritis Index were evaluation,and a comparative analysis of the results of two groups.Results In the two groups before and after the intervention of JKOM,WOMAC score were statistically significant improvements,including JKOM improvement rate,exercise therapy group than NSAID group was higher(P=0.038,95% CI 0.008-0.248),and the rate of improvement in WOMAC,compared between the two groups was not statistically significant(P=0.102,95%CI-0.026-0.272).Conclusion Exercise therapy for knee osteoarthritis has good short-term effect,including pain relief effects,and the activity of daily living is better than drug therapy.
