Effects of LCO and TH17 on Emergence and Physiological Properties of Oat at Seedling Stage under Drought Stress

Abstract
In order to explore the effects of LCO(Lipo-chito-oligosaccharids)and TH17(Thruichin-17)on seed germination and seedling growth under drought stress,this experiment was conducted by presoaking the oat seeds(Bayou 3and Mengyan 1)with 10-8 mol·L-1 of LCO and TH17for 4hours,and training under severe,medium,slight stress and normal water supply in growth cabinet at seedling stage.The germination rate,plant length,relative electric conductivity,malondialdehyde(MDA)content,plasma membrane permeability and antioxidant enzymes(SOD,POD)activity were emphatically analyzed in this paper.The results showed that the germination rate and plant height of oat were improved after presoaked with LCO and TH17under different water conditions,and seedling emergence of Mengyan 1under the SS-TH17treatment was 2.6times of SS-CK,the plant length increased by 32%than that in SS-CK.The relative electric conductivity and MDA content of oat with LCO and TH17treatments under slight water stress were lower than that of CK.The free proline content and soluble protein of oat with LCO and TH17treatments increased with the increasing of water stress.The SOD activity of LCO and TH17treatments largely was increased under slight water stress,while the POD activity increased under severe water stress.In conclusion,the oat could adapt the dry condition using LCO and TH17through improving plasma membrane permeability and antioxidant enzymes activity,and reducing the relative electric conductivity and MDA content.
