Analysis on RAPD Fingerprints and Genetic Relationship of Astragalus Hybrid

Abstract
In this study,the genetic relationship between the A.membranaceus Bunge,A.adsurgens Pall.and hybrids were analyzed by using RAPD fingerprints,and coefficient of genetic similarity were also studied.The results indicated that a specific band(P 3-670) and 2 specific bands(P 5-680,P 5-870) could be amplified from the Astragalus hybrid by primer 3 and 5.While the paternal parent(A.membranaceus Bunge) and the maternal parent(A.adsurgens Pall.) had no specific bands.Primer 4 could produce a specific band(about 730 bp) to A.membranaceus Bunge,but the other 5 materials had no specific band.Furthermore Astragalus hybrid had a small genetic similarity to its father,while had a big one to its mother.So the genetic characters of Astragalus hybrid were mostly come from its maternal parent.
