Statistical analysis of papers by scholars in Baoji indexed by Web of Science for 30 years

Abstract
Aim To investigate papers by scholars in which were indexed by Web of Science Database from 1981 to 2011,and to provide the references for the management of scientific research in the future.Methods With Baoji as a retrieval word,Web of Science Database is used to search papers by scholars in according to years,international collaboration,organizations of authors,the sources of published papers,authors and citation frequency.Results From 1981 to the end of 2011,574 papers were indexed in Web of Science Database,they were written by scholars in Baoji,and the scholars in collaborated with foreign authors such as those from Japan,USA,Canada,Poland,France,Austria,South Korea and other nations.In domestic authors come mainly from University of Arts and Sciences(mainly crystallography) and Post Box 71(mainly superconductor) in Baoji,other units such as nonferrous metal companies and institutes,medical treatment and public health,geology exploration and others.The 76 papers by authors in were published in ACTA CRYSTALLOGRAPHICA SECTION E STRUCTURE REPORTS ONLINE,the 36 papers published in RARE METAL MATERIALS AND ENGINEERING,and 30 papers were published in ZEITSCHRIFT FUR KRISTALLOGRAPHIE NEW CRYSTAL STRUCTURES.61 papers by Author ZHOU L(ZHOU Lian) were indexed by WOS,Author ZHOU L ranked first in authors;LI ZX(LI Zong-xiao) second(45 papers),and YANG DS(YANG De-suo),YANG ZY(YANG Zi-yuan) and ZHANG XL(ZHANG Xin-li) are third,fourth and fifth,and their indexed papers are 39,37 and 36 respectively.Of 5 papers which are cited more than 40 citations/papers,3 papers were written by YANG Zi-yuan or YANG Zi-yuan with other authors.Conclusion The papers by scholars in had been indexed by Web of Science Database(WOS) for 30 years.Baoji University of Arts and Sciences gradually becomes the home of papers by scholars in Baoji,which focus on crystallography and solid physics,but hot research points by scholars in also include nonferrous metal materials,medical treatment and public health,environmental protection and so on.Annual increase of the number of papers should be based on the increase of papers' quality,which is a problem to pay close attention to.
