Abstract
The big incidents of power failure occurred in US Canada of 8.14, London of UK, Malaysia, Sydney of Australia, Sweden and Danish, and Italy nation - wide in 2003 give the great affects on the economic development and social stability in the placed country, which also arouses the governments on the world countries, the social personage of all circles and the electric power professionals to pay more attention to the reliability of power supply. The paper briefly introduces the general situation of these incidents of power failure and their experiences and lessons and hint for us, and points out the current problems of special notice in power grid in China.
