Abstract
Gas velocity of nozzle outlet and gas-liquid mass flow ratio have a great influence on the atomization efficiency of liquid metal.In this paper,Laval shape was adopted for the nozzle outlet to obtain supersonic gas velocity.The mathematical expressions of gas exit velocity,gas and liquid mass flow ratio were established to characterize the flow of gas and melted metal of the crucible and fluid conduit system.The relationship between the pressure of fluid conduit outlet and the atomizing gas pressure was obtained by experimental method.
