The effects of Thallium at different concentration(0.01-2.00 mg/L) were studied on seed germination,root length,content of chlorophyll,and soluble sugar of Pakchoi (Brassica chinensis L.). The results showed that the concentration of Thallium at 0.01-2.00 mg/L had no remarkable influence on the seed germination of Pakchoi,but the concentration at 0.50-2.00 mg/L had significant inhibitory effects on the seed roots,which would be weak gradually.Along with the increase of the Thallium concentration,the content of chlorophyll of Pakchoi was stimulated at 1.00 mg/L level,however,It was restrained at 2.00 mg/L level.At the same time,the content of soluble sugar declined.
