Chinese LNG industry has been boosting rapidly in the past ten years, but the promulgation of relevant regulatory standards is lagged behind. In contrast, LNG industry has been relatively mature in the US, Canada, Japan and some European countries after several decades of development, with a relative complete system of LNG regulatory standards established. Through deeply analyzing the current application status, difference and development trend of LNG industry regulatory standards system at home and abroad, a direction for domestic LNG industry standards is proposed, including setting up self-developed LNG fi re heat radiation intensity calculation model, LNG vapor diffusion mathematical model and HAZ0P evaluation guidelines and other theoretical systems, developing advanced process technologies which match with LNG industry standards, accelerating the development and manufacture of fi rst-class equipment to make the established standards play a leading role in the industry development and building a scientifi c base of LNG fi re to study LNG fi re rescue and extinguishment techniques, which will provide references to the establishment and improvement of LNG technical standards.(6 Tables, 16 References)
