Abstract
The main production performance and over-winter rate of 18 alfalfa varieties were investigated in Tongliao area in the study.The results showed that all Canada Medicago,US Medicago varia,Canada Intermediate Medicago,Aohan Medicago,U S alfalfa and Grass Ⅲ were better than that of the other varieties in the main production performance and over-winter rate,especially Aohan Medicago,US alfalfa and Grass Ⅲ were the optimal to suitable for planting and popularizing in the region.
